Monster of the Month Club

Rilla Harmony Earth lives with her mother (Sparrow) and aunt (Poppy) in the Harmony House Bed and Breakfast, where she is home-schooled. In January, a package arrives in the mail from the "Monster of the Month Club."

Does the box really contain a monster? Will they keep coming every month? And, more importantly, can Joshua Banks (her one true love) ever overlook her weirdo save-the-world family and notice her?

"Readers will enjoy the humor and mounting tension. Entertaining fiction with a catchy title and a snappy jacket illustration." ~Booklist

"A cheerful and resourceful heroine, and monsters, entertainingly distinct." ~ Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books

Monsters in the Attic

"It happened again," begins the sequel to Monster of the Month Club. The magic that makes the monsters come to life is sparked once more. Rilla Harmony Earth is faced with more monsters to hide from her quirky Aunt Poppy and Sparrow, the ultimate "Earth Mother."

Sparrow's mentor, Mother Lapis Lazuli, known for her gift of Sight, comes to the Harmony House Bed & Breakfast. The last thing Rilla needs is someone who possesses a sixth sense when she's harboring monsters in her attic. Plus, somebody is on to her secret--Joshua Banks, her one true love.

"The author has a talent for letting a bit of magic create chaos in everyday life." ~ Kirkus

"A quirky coming-of-age story that is often funny, sometimes sad, and always on target when describing the behavior of younger teens." ~ Booklist

Monsters in CyberSpace

Autumn brings monster surprises to Rilla Harmony Earth.  A computer and modem for her attic bedroom at Harmony House Bed and Breakfast means she can surf the Internet as Earthgirl7.  Unfortunately, the monsters find their way into cyberspace, too, using Rilla's screen name--instant trouble!

But the best part of "connecting to the globe" is that Rilla now has a way to search for her father. Meanwhile, clases begin for the home-schoolers, bringing Rilla back together with her one true love.

Monsters and My One True Love

Excitement arrives at Harmony House along with Christmas.  Aunt Poppy and Jose are getting married on Christmas Eve. Guests include all the home-schoolers, Mother Lapis Lazuli, her daughter, Plum, and Mr. Tamerow with his new wife and twins--all the way from Finland.  Also on the guest list is Rilla's father--yikes!
If that weren't enough, in the middle of Christmas chaos, the last three monsters begin acting odd. Could it have something to do with strange happenings in the mid-winter sky?

"Lots of tongue-in-cheek humor. Regan is particularly adept at mixing fantasy with realistic behavior and concerns. Sweet's black and white cartoons add to the fun." ~ School Library Journal

"This story is told with humor and charm and is an enjoyable read for middle grades." ~ Children's Literature

Ghost Twins
Covers for the British Edition

According to the report in the Juniper Daily News, Robbie Zuffel and his twin sister, Beka, were victims of a boating accident on Kickingbird Lake, along with their dog, Thatch. What the report doesn't say is that the trio returns fifty years later--as ghosts!

Their house has been turned into a rental at the Kickingbird Lake Resort, so now they have to put up with tourists, who don't know the house is "haunted" by the twins and their ornery ghost dog.

"Regan's chipper novel will appeal to boys and girls alike. Humorous detail, spry dialogue, and characters that are, well, spirited, mark this as a promising series." ~ Publishers Weekly

"A new series that looks very good--a charmer." ~ Mystery Lovers Bookshop News
